On a cold winter day in January 2013, I had been in contact with Mary discussing available dogs. Mary told me about Bogie, an 8 year old boy who had been found in the woods, alone and cold. Mary had stated the person who found him turned him over to NMR as Bogie was not happy in her small apartment.
I met Bogie and the Pet Expo and we connected immediately. Bogie stayed in my arms for four hours during the event, a few days later, Bogie was adopted by Kristi and me.
Bogie had a love of life and was very attached to Kristi and me. Bogie loved our weekends on the boat, swimming and walks to the park. As I travel for work, he took the job of watching the girls seriously in my absence.
Bogie made friends wherever he went. People always commented on his friendly and loveable demeanor, even by those who are not “dog” people.
Sadly, Bogie left us for the Rainbow Bridge on October 11, 2016 with our assistance as a result of abdominal cancer. Bogie is missed by his family and friends.
