January 17, 2005
In August of 2004, we had to put our 14 year old Dalmatian to sleep. It was not long before I started missing a dog in our home. A co-worker of mine suggested that I submit an application to the Northcentral Maltese Rescue (she had rescued 2 herself!); a puppy was becoming available. One of the questions of the application was would you consider taking two dogs that could not be separated, I said "maybe," not really thinking that anything would become of it since we were trying for the pup. Within a few days I heard from Mary, wondering if we would consider fostering two dogs that need to stay together. I called my husband Scott immediately, and he said yes.
From the minute the vet brought those two little girls into the exam room we were in love.
We felt so bad for them and knew we wanted to do everything we could to help them. Tina and Sassy (their new names) have adjusted wonderfully to our children and their new home. They have brought so much love and laughter to all of us. It has been an absolute joy to see them come out of their shells and become part of our family. Our thanks to the Northcentral Maltese Rescue for keeping Tina and Sassy safe and providing the health care they needed before we adopted them.
Sincerely,
Scott, Sue, Scotty, and Rachel
