From Anthony, Danny is doing Great!

I wanted to drop a line to let you know how Danny is doing.  I hope you do not mind if I do this from time to time to keep everyone at Northcentral apprised on how Danny is doing.  He is adjusting to his new home wonderfully, much better than I ever expected.  Danny slept most of the way back from Concord on either my father's lap or my lap, depending on who was driving at the time.  He absolutely loves sleeping on my lap, and we are really starting to bond.  He has one of the most pleasant barks I ever heard, it's almost as if he is trying to talk to you!  His first night with me was spent at my parents house Saturday night.  He warmed up to everyone, and evidently has quite a shoe fetish, he likes to stick his head into and roll around in any shoe he can find.  When he started to chew on one of my dad's good shoes, Danny challenged me, but the minute I gently placed my index finger on his forehead and said "No Sir!," he immediately stopped his growling and let go of the shoe.  I'll let Mary Lou know she did a great job training Danny, he is an absolute pleasure to be around, although I can tell when I tried to rinse his paws off today that he is going to be difficult when he gets his first bath tonight.

We have been home now for about one day, and he is making the adjustment from the country to the city much better than I even expected.  He is discovering all these new sights, sounds, and smells.  He seems to absorb all of it like a sponge, as if he is experiencing a whole new world for the first time.  He is sleeping by my chair as I type this, tuckered out after this mornings walk.

He first visit with the vet will be this afternoon to look at his ears and see if they need to be drained, get his paperwork straightened out, and get him registered here in Pinellas County, Florida.  I can't thank Mary Lou enough for the detailed records provided on Danny, it is making the transition much easier.  It also guarantees that Danny will not get any unnecessary vaccinations that could make him sick.  I will also be getting Danny the vet insurance linked through your website. Looking forward to seeing Danny on the Happy Homes page, he has turned out to be a very well mannered and affectionate companion.
Anthony,

Thank you so much for this wonderful update on Danny. I always love hearing how the dogs are doing, but particularly I love hearing about Danny. He was been with our rescue a long time and we have a lot invested in him emotionally. We always felt that he was worth all the effort, and we're all thrilled that you feel the same way. We are very grateful to Marylou and all the work she did with him, and we're also grateful to you for opening up your heart and home to him. Please do let us know how he's doing from time to time, and if you ever have any questions don't hesitate to ask.

Kind Regards,
George Bailey
