Is there a "happily ever after?"  After losing Kristi [in May, 2006], my first Maltese rescue (see Happily Ever After Page 20), I wasn't sure that adopting another rescue would be the answer for Danny and me.  However, along came Holly, the next Maltese rescue in my life.  Holly had been in and out of a shelter two times and ended up in Maltese rescue.  I decided to adopt her within a month of losing Kristi.  After looking back over the past 6 months, I can truly say that allowing myself to adopt another Maltese rescue was the best thing for my grieving heart.  Danny and I needed her as much as she needed us.  I am convinced there can be a happily ever after for everyone when you adopt a Maltese rescue.  Many special thanks to George Bailey for his guidance and support during the past year.
