Just a little reminder to keep June 20th and 21st open for the yearly Maltese Picnic.  This is a once a year opportunity to meet and share two days with other Maltese lovers and their dogs. Come on the afternoon of June 19th, meet old and new friends and help with set up. Over 100 people and over 100 dogs! You won't see this many Maltese that you can pet and cuddle in any other place!

2009 Maltese Picnic

I want to inform you that the plans for the 2009 Maltese Picnic are coming along nicely.
The date is June 20-21, 2009 with set up on Friday, June 19th. The location is near Milwaukee, Wisconsin.  There is a great outdoor area that is walled in on 3 and a half sides and they are willing to let us use the indoor area also.

If you are thinking about attending, please make your reservation soon as there are a limited number of rooms. Motel Information is below.

In addition, I will be needing people to volunteer during the event helping out with set up, keeping things moving along and donating beverages.

If you are not able to attend I still can use your assistance.  You can donate money for the Rescue or to be used toward picnic expenses.

Also I need items for the auction.  Those fun, interesting things that us Maltese owners want and need!  Please send them to me:

Motel Information
25 rooms have been reserved in the name of Northcentral Maltese Rescue, Inc. at the following hotel:

The special rate is $59 per night for June 19, 20.  There is no Sales Tax and it must not be added. 
There is NO extra fee for dogs!  The hotel is about 10 minutes by car to the picnic site.
Reservations must be made by May 19, 2009.

If you are flying for the weekend there is a shuttle that can get you to the hotel.  It is NOT the hotel's, just a commercial service.

If you are driving in the for the weekend there is a parking lot near our area that we can use. There are outdoor plugs for those in an RV.

I need assistance in pulling this weekend off!  If you have helped in the past and are interested in helping again in your same area or different, PLEASE let me know soon so that I can put the committees together soon.

I am looking for contact information any of the vendors we used last year.  Auctioneer, tent, food, fence.  Anything you can give me will be helpful as I pull together this year's picnic.
